When the sun meets the moon, people say something magical will happen. They call it a solar eclipse. There is this concept where the moon is covering up half or even the whole part of the sun, so the sun’s rays are being blocked out too. But what makes them beautiful is how the lights are turning into a perfectly shaped ring when a total eclipse is complete. And people are so amazed by the beauty of this rare phenomenon that they look forward to be a part of the witnesses.

However, when both of us met for the first time, no one batted an eye. Not even ourselves. It was far from something magical, something wonderful, or something that was meant to be. So, we went to different ways; the opposite poles.

Then the universe laughed.

We failed to witness it because we were too busy with our own things — not knowing that the universe was cackling while watching us being apart.

“These two…,” the universe muttered between laughter. “I’m going to put them together.”

And so we met.

For the second time.

For when the sun meets the moon.

For when a total eclipse is complete.
